SPUTNIK: THE ODISSEY OF SOYUZ II
The Sputnik Foundation is revisiting one of the most startling cases in the history of space exploration. On October 25, 1968, the cosmonaut on board of the Soyuz 2 spacecraft disappeared during the mission. The official story told was that the spacecraft was totally automated with no crew on board. Archives were tampered with and history rewritten for obscure “reasons of State,” until the secret documents were finally declassified, which enabled the reconstruction of this extraordinary chapter that still seems incredible today.
